In 2015, we completed a project that consisted of 13 bungalow specially design for disabled access. The key element was the installation on site. The design and manufacture of the product was important, but the speed of installation was priority.
Each site was among established estates, with small avenues and tight access. We had to be able to deliver the product and install the units with the minimum fuss. We worked closely with the main contractor to ensure we kept road closures and noise to a minimum.
With the established problems of the access to site, we had to agree to a 3 day programme for each house. We managed to reduce this to 2 days per house. With 4 units on two sites and 5 units on the other site, we saved nearly 30% on the timeline set which helped keep the neighbours and council very happy.
We the benefits of our closed panel system and the design and manufacture management off site. We didn’t lose any quality during the quick builds.
